A graduate of the Botany Department at National Taiwan University (1972) and a Master’s in Microbiology from Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons (1973),
Attorney Chiu Chang holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey (1979) and a J.D. from Columbia Law School in New York (1984) and she also earned the Distinguished Manager Certificate from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government (1994).
Attorney Chiu Chang currently practice law in California, is a corporate law professor, and television and radio show hostess, and a prolific author.
Attorney Chiu Chang had previously served as a Legislator of Taiwan. She has demonstrated a passion for public service, particularly advocating for justice on behalf of the 200 victims of the Lehman Brothers’ bond scandal in Taiwan from 2009 to 2011.

Attorney Chiu Chang has written 100 published works, her “Oral History of Chinese American Women” series is housed in renowned libraries such as the National Central Library in Taiwan and Harvard-Yenching Library in the United States.
As the host of the TV program “Legal Talk with Chiu Chang” on Star TV, Hong Kong, she became the first professional to host a television program among her peers. Throughout her career, Attorney Chiu Chang has been a standout figure in the legal history of Chinese American women.
